In 2014 I formed a new company Elephas Consultancy to provide freelance development and consultancy services to select organisations. In 2021 I incorporated Elephas Consultancy AB as a Swedish Aktiebolag (Limited Company).As owner of the business I can pick and choose projects which I think will be interesting and challenging, whilst working with organisations who are trying to make a positive difference within their sector.Over the last decade I have worked with a selection of organisations. Most of this work has been related to Dynamics CRM development / configuration and / or systems integration. I have also worked on SSRS / Power BI reporting and the development of custom dashboards and charts. I have built and extended several front-end websites using DNN and Umbraco CMS platforms, as well as creating and hosting various bespoke applications from the ground up.I have worked with both Azure and AWS, often helping organisations realise a “cloud-first” strategy. Highways England (now National Highways) – designing and executing a complex Dynamics 365 Online data migration using SSIS with KingswaySoft. Delivering various CRM enhancements through custom JavaScript and Power Automate.Gateway Ticketing Systems – providing ongoing .NET development to help extend and integrate their industry leading ticketing, admission control, retail and membership management solution across some of the UK’s most popular and loved visitor attractions.2 Circles Communications – ongoing Dynamics CRM and .NET development and integration with various 3rd party APIs for B2B telecommunications specialist.

I am continuing to support National Highways via an associate relationship with technology innovators and IT service providers MindCraft. I am also helping MindCraft to design, develop and support additional IT products and services using my Microsoft full-stack development skills, understanding of Azure architecture, skills in technology strategy and ITIL v4 certification.

After working on several successful projects with Ethical IT / JADe Group / InfoHealth, we have formed an ongoing relationship where I operate as a specialist developer and senior technical consultant on an associate basis. This has been a long-running, successful partnership.My role has involved extending JADe's charity database system - C2 - which is built in .NET and MS SQL, and converting it to a Dynamics 365-based solution. I have also worked extensively with the InfoHealth medical asset management system F2.Here are a selection of projects which I have worked on recently:The Argyll Club – developing a CRM for sales pipeline management using Dynamics CRM Online, with integration to Dynamics NAV, ClickDimensions, TxtSync and RingCentralAge UK – providing ongoing independent consultancy and development services covering Dynamics 2016 on-premise and various other key business systems.Prison Reform Trust – development of a case management system using Dynamics 365 Online, and migration of data from legacy system. Also provision of a suite of custom reports, remote user training and ongoing support.Impact Investing Institute – development of a contact management system using Dynamics 365 Online, and import of data from Excel spreadsheets. Also provision of system documentation, remote user training and ongoing support.Isles of Scilly Airport – development of a bespoke flight logging system using .NET / MS SQL and DevExpress. Also provision of web hosting and ongoing support.

I worked as an associate with E & H over several years, including a technical lead role on the CRM project for the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, the website and CRM integration project for the British Dietetic Association and in the early stage of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation's CRM and website project.Most recently I worked as the technical lead on a successful project for the Institution of Fire Engineers, replacing their paper-based membership application process with an online offering. Working closely with the CRM supplier Silverbear, the solution involved both a public-facing membership portal and back-office Dynamics 365 on-premise instance.

During my time as IT Programme Manager at Kew I was directly involved in a diverse selection of projects and activities, including the following: - PCI compliance - taking the organisation from non-compliance, through audit, remedial activity and self-certification - Desktop refresh, procuring and rolling out up to 1k devices to end users across the organisation, through a device as a service (DaaS) model - Network upgrades, using Extreme technology - Storage upgrades, using NetApp technology - Telephony and video conferencing upgrades / virtualisation, using Mitel and Skype for Business - High performance computing - implementing a stop-gap solution whilst scoping a major investment - Digital asset management - creating a central repository for Kew's digital assets and serving these up to various stakeholders - Electronic documents and records management - rolling out a solution built on Microsoft Sharepoint - Retail, ticketing and CRM

I successfully led the business specification and implementation of a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, and owned delivery of the CRM service to other departments.My detailed first-hand expertise and in-depth knowledge of the development, implementation and continuity of a successful CRM system and service was crucial in fulfilling this role. The role also required a sound knowledge and understanding of data production processes and significant experience of project management, excellent analysis skills the ability to work successfully with and forge strong reciprocal relationships with colleagues across Kew and its external partners.During this time I was also involved in some other projects, including the implementation of an innovative mobile tree risk assessment solution, leveraging Android technology.

I filled the role of Technical Integration Manager on the CSP's Adapt project. This involved an implementation of Microsoft Dynamics CRM. My main responsibility was to ensure that the new CRM product integrated with the existing membership system and public website.This project was delivered successfully in May 2014.

At Infobox I tackled a wide range of challenging projects. I initially focused on software development, but subsequently was required to manage development teams both in-house and off-shore. I started to hone my skills in both business analysis and project management - bringing a very technical perspective to these disciplines. During my time at Infobox I was instrumental in the success of a number of large-scale projects in sectors such as education, health and charities.I was heavily involved as a senior consultant and developer on the Bridging the Gap project which involved over 80 HE and FE establishments across the country helping to meet the security requirements of the London 2012 Olympic Games.I continue to offer consultancy and development services to Infobox as a contractor.

AMH were a digital media company providing advertising opportunities at a range of locations across the country. I was responsible for developing and maintaining an ambitious .NET based complete business management system. This included CRM and invoicing functionality and a complex reporting portal. Also it featured a media management section which allowed AMH to upload and control the content on their screens from the head office. I introduced LogMeIn across their fleet of remote machines and thus reduced their operating costs signficantly - previously they were sending technicians out on site all over the country.

Interdat were a small local IT company where I started as a junior and over a five year period I developed a wide range of skills ranging from building websites and applications using HTML/CSS and Classic ASP to server configuration and database administration.By the end of my time at Interdat I was the lead developer on a large project providing a bespoke property management system to over 100 estate agents across the country with integration into various property portals such as Right Move.
