Founded in 1972, JCAL is a member of the Cultural Institutions Group, the historic Public-Private Partnership with the City of New York. Operating two landmarked buildings—a 45,000-sq.-ft. arts center and a 400-seat performing arts center—JCAL centers BIPOC visual and performing artists among youth, families, seniors, and individuals in the diverse Southeast Queens community.
