As President of the UniBo Fintech Society from August 2023 to August 2024, I played a pivotal role in managing and scaling the organization to over 120 members, leading a core team of 46 international students. I managed research desks in key areas such as Investment Banking (IB), Venture Capital (VC), Decentralized Finance (DeFi), and AI & LegalTech, ensuring the society tackled diverse and emerging fintech topics.Under my leadership, the society became a prominent platform for fintech exploration and professional development at the University of Bologna. These experiences enabled me to develop strong organizational, leadership, and management skills while keeping the society at the forefront of fintech innovation.

As Head of Relations I have the possibility to interface and collaborate with Alumni, professors and firms, as well as students. My main task is to be a filter for the association, understanding and taking decisions on who could or could not be one of our partners. Other tasks that I have are to collaborate in the organization of the events, take part in some general researches useful for the events and expose the researches to the event's audience.This role gives me the possibility to be independent, take decisions and manage the stress and with the workload. I'm more and more improving my communication skills both in written and oral communication.

From the 6th of July to the 11th of August, I had the fantastic opportunity to do an internship at Generali Cervignano - Tiberio Federico e Alfè Flavia SNC.I worked in the central office of the firm, with both the administrative part and the sales, alongside a big team made of fantastic people that helped me get into the assurance world, assigning me tasks regarding accounting management, emission of policies, elaboration of data.. and letting me participate to risk assessment and performance monitoring meetings, as well as to negotiations.During this experience, our region Friuli Venezia Giulia got hit by extreme weather phenomena; a destructive hailstorm smashed roofs, cars, and crops. The consequence of all these damages brought a sudden increment of the assigned work to handle all the damage claims. The assurance sector suffered not only economic losses but also an unusual workload. This was a severe stress test for the team I was working with, but thanks to the strong link among its members, they all managed to intervene positively to face the occurrence, letting me be a part of this. This taught me the importance of a well-established team, targeted workload management, flexibility, and the significance of knowing people and understanding their psychological aspects.This experience was actual practice, significantly far from university studies. It made me, and still makes me, think a lot about how fundamental can be some parts of the internal processes, how difficult it can be to efficient something in some cases, and how hard it can be to delegate work for a leader. I also had some great discussions about efficiency, the mentality with which people face problems, and the importance of listening and doing instead of talking. To sum up, this internship was a lucky chance to grow, learn, and test my skills and knowledge as well as to use useful instruments such as Excel and AI integrated systems.
