As a scientist at the Applied Photonics Center, I'm responsible for developing novel sensing technologies for the oil & gas industry. As part of the Corporate Innovation group, our charter is to explore novel solutions and develop new technologies. Some of my contributions to the group so far were: * Helped develop innovative signal processing solutions for Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) Technology;∗ I'm part of a team that proposed and implemented a machine learning solutions employing DAS that is able to identify and quantify events happening in an oil well, potentially in real-time;∗ Studied novel telemetry and signal processing solutions for electronic sensors that operate in adverse conditions;∗ Co-authored more than 12 patents disclosures.

During this one year position at the Electronic and Computer Department I was responsible for teaching the following classes for the Electronic and Computer Engineering undergraduate course:- Introduction to programming course: programming basics, with both theory and practical (lab) work.- Programming Languages: advanced course on programming paradigms covering a broad set of programming languages.
