Mago is Venture Capital firm launched in 2021 by the founders of Locaweb with an unsual approach to investing, where our hybrid allocation strategy combines both VC Fund of Funds and direct investments in startups.I am currently responsible for all things investing and portfolio managing within our team.

Being a few years into the Venture Capital industry and with a desire to make a change in how people learn about digital entrepreneurship and Venture Capital investing, I designed a tool meant to aid the learning process. It started out from a personal need, but I soon realized the potential impact it could have in the development of the brazilian entrepreneurship ecosystem, bringing it to public.

As of 2023, the organizational structure of EVCF added a new layer in the hierarchy and I stood down as the responsible for Community, my previous operational role. I now supervise three out of the eight Work Groups, being: Community, Dealflow and Events. Also, an Advisory Board was formed, to which I now respond to, alongside fellow co-founders Luiz and Mártin.

The year started with eigth distinct Work Groups (WGs), responsible for different matters within the soon to be not-for-profit association. One of them was called Community, to which I was assigned leader. There, I built a team composed of fellows divided between five different missions: (i) to manage the general base of fellows, (ii) to manage the fellows engaged in WGs, (iii) to manage the leaders of the WGs, (iv) to build the technical infrastructure needed to support managing all of that and (v) to attract new fellows to EVCF.

As the community evolved, some fellows engaged in putting in effort to organize and structure some of the initiatives taking place. The organizational structure was still majorly horizontal, meaning there were no clear leaders yet. Centered around a "structure" area, a wide variety of activities begun to take shape at this time and soon enough new and more niched areas started forming: the so called Work Groups (WGs).

Emerging VC Fellows is a collaborative community of pre-partner VCs that aims for the development of the Venture Capital industry. The 380+ members from 150+ capital firms from all over Brazil, plus a few other countries, have been working together to produce unique content, share ideas, exercize our analysis capabilities and, ultimately, do business. A flag EVCF raises is to ensure inclusion and diversity of venture capitalists is always at stake, in and outside of the community.

Following Alfa Collab's investment in A de Agro, I assumed the position of Board Member.

Following Alfa Collab's investment in E-ctare, I acted as Board Observer in meetings.

Launched in November 2020, Alfa Collab is the Corporate Venture Capital and Open Innovation program that serves the interests of approximately 20 companies within Conglomerado Alfa, ranging from finance-related businesses to non-finance ones, such as Banco Alfa, C&C and Agropalma. Rushing towards digital transformation, the conglomerate is partnering up with startups to (i) do business, (ii) invest and (iii) acquire companies. I am responsible for team and processes building, institutional relations with all parts of the entrepreneur ecosystem and investment/partnership analysis, from sourcing through completion.Selected transacions:- E-ctare (sep/21): undisclosed amount- A de Agro (oct/22): undisclosed amount

Invest Tech is an investment funds managing firm. I was part of a small team that undertakes a Venture Capital fund, with activities ranging from outbound lead searching to startup analysis to closing deals. Additionally, I was responsible for some level of Investor Relations, bylaws accordance, investment thesis elaboration, market researching and following up with portfolio companies.Selected transactions:- LogComex (mar/20): R$2M out of a R$3M round- Configr (sep/20): R$1,25M out of a R$4M round- GoBots (jul/21): R$1,9M out of a R$2,2M round

UME is a fintech startup working on providing safer, fairer and easier credit through retailers. I joined the company in the early stages, prior to operations start, and my role in it was a hands-on approach to best launch the product in the market, as well as manage firm activity and engage in customer/supplier meetings.

Cosin is a general business consulting firm and, as such, I had active participation in the conduction of projects. I worked as an allotted consultant, full-time in contact with the customers in their offices. My responsibilities involved preparation of meetings, internal reporting, managing control worksheets, elaborating PowerPoint presentations and writing meeting minutes.

Creative leadership training, with emphasis on entrepreneurship.Inspired by a learning methodoly developed at Kaospilot (DK), INTENT is an alternative program to the sixth academic semester at FGV in which participants mature soft skills such as teamwork and process consulting, based on the books Teaming (EDMONSON, Amy) and Princípios da Consultoria de Processos (SCHEIN, Edgar), both ex-MIT professors. They are then encouraged to perform a consultancy of their own, applying the new concepts on a real company. My group had the pleasure to work full-time with Courrieros (ecolivery startup, exit to B2W in 2019) over the course of a couple of months.

Because of a growing passion for entrepreneurship, I and some friends (Nova SBE Master's Degree in Management and POLI-USP Bachelor's Degree in Computing Science) decided to build an app for univeristy students to better perform at their courses. The idea consisted in a private class's marketplace in that, upon scheduling, a fee were to be charged; the rollout never happened and the app remains unlaunched, but a series of prior to launch activitites helped me gain entrepreneurship knowledge. Responsibilities involved: business model development, pricing modelling, conducting market research, teacher portfolio building, UX/UI testing via SPRINT (KNAPP, Jake), undertaking SCRUM sessions, app architecture building and stress testing.
