GMV provides engineering, development and integration of systems, software, hardware, specialized products and services in diverse industries: Aerospace, Defence & Security, ICT for Public Administration, large corporations andHealthcare, Cybersecurity and Intelligent Transportation Systems.

Analyzed the parallel computing performance of high-order CFD schemes (finite-volume method), under Portuguese and European grants, with the following milestones:-- Optimized existing Matlab code by using vectorization, improving runtime in ∼50%-- Implemented a parallel solver in C using MPI-based PETSc, for convection-diffusion problems in both 2D and 3D, using second- to eighth-order schemes-- Analyzed the code’s scalability with up to 2048 processes at Portuguese supercomputing centers-- Presented preliminary results in a 40-minute talk at the SHARK-FV 2022 conference

-- Developed C++ code to simulate in Geant4 (particle physics simulation software) the Argon Resonant Transport Interaction Experiment (ARTIE), yielding numerical data that anticipated experimental results-- Performed statistical sensitivity analysis to verify the method’s robustness-- Published an internal paper titled “Geant4 simulations on argon transparency to neutrons”

-- Created MATLAB code to identify possible systematic errors in high-energy density experiments due to laser-induced magnetic fields redirecting electrons that were being used in measurements.-- Investigated experiment setups (through the use of radiation-hydrodynamics simulations software) to reproduce in a lab the phenomenon that occurs in a magnetopause region.
