At Prodepa I worked as Senior Analyst for Digital Security Systems. It was here that I was able to experience the administration of a network the size of many countries. I received an invitation to work as an IT solutions consultant, at the request of a former student and great friend, who offered me this position in order to fulfill the contracts that WorkDB has in this region.While I was working, I observed the needs of clients, prepared projects and proposals and also provided specialized assistance to these clients in cases of extreme need, such as a server that stopped working, a switch that was not communicating, migration of services and servers, among others.As results obtained, I can mention a company where it had serious communication problems due to excessive cascading using HUBs instead of switches, in addition to extremely outdated cabling. HUBs were replaced with Switches and new cabling was launched, completely stopping the constant outages in the networks due to high flow and excessive collisions in communication.I can also mention another company where we presented a project to implement a network with separations by Vlans, making network administration more secure and reducing broadcast domains, as the original configuration had a completely flat network, without any “borders” that could provide a minimum level of security.
