Senior Scientist / Data Analyst
Current
Researcher
I was offered to complete of a project in layer-fMRI within a specific deadline of one year using previously acquired data. This required quickly getting familiar with this new type of MRI data and the associated data processing methods.- Developing preprocessing scripts in bash (FSL, dcm2niix) and python (ANTs) suitable for multi-core fast processing.

Researcher
Neuroimaging preprocessing and analysis on large datasets: ABIDE, UK Biobank, PsyMRI
Researcher
Freelance Data Analyst
In collaboration with dr. Tika Kotilainen (luke.fi) and prof. Matthew Robson (U. of Helsinki) I developed a web app in R/Shiny to display the impact of different plant-covering materials on the available light spectrum, according to the locaton and month of the year. More information and the app are available in the 'About' section of the app.
Data Analysis Consultant
We designed and implemented a production system to perform ETL for Financial Reporting at Leaseplan Bank. The project was commissioned by BearingPoint Netherlands and supervised by Deloitte.
Visiting Researcher
At MPI I developed a Python CLI software to perform Connectivity-based parcellation on probabilistic tractography data. The software implements the methods described in our Cortex 2017 paper available at https://tinyurl.com/macparcel. This collaboration was supported by a grant I received from the International Neuroinformatics Coordinating Facility - see.
Researcher
Together with Michel Thiebaut de Schotten, we investigated the organization of the connections in the frontal lobe by means of non-invasive methods, that is fiber tractography based on diffusion-weighted MRI. We performed for the first time the parcellation of the frontal lobe on the basis of its anatomical connectivity both in humans and in other.
Postdoctoral Fellow
I mostly worked with resting-state MR functional connectivity data. I focuses on the functional connectivity between regions and networks between in autism. In 2012 our group contributed to the ABIDE database (http://fcon_1000.projects.nitrc.org/indi/abide/), and since then I have been working on analyzing large samples (500+) of participants using.
Postdoctoral Fellow
I established the methods for processing diffusion-weighted MR images in the Social Brain Lab of prof. Christian Keysers. In this lab, performed research on the structural connectivity of the Insula in humans, as well as on original methodologies for connectivity-based regional parcellation.I also trained several master students and collaborated with.
Phd Student In Cognitive Science
I started my PhD by working on theoretical models of pragmatics with Maurizio Tirassa. Later I moved to work in neuroimaging, and specifically in task-based fMRI, under the supervision of Katiuscia Sacco and Giuliano Geminiani. I graduated with a thesis on the effect of motor training on motor imagery.
