Use of Optimal Control to improve Wandercraft’s Personal Exoskeleton Sit and Stand motion.Development of the control architecture in C++ and validation in both simulation and hardware.

Responsible for the organisation of the association's 3 main events:The Integration Week:● 6 intensive days of welcoming and activities, from the 22nd to the 27th August 2022● 100+ students from all over the world from CentraleSupélec and Université Paris-Saclay● 25+ staff membersThe World Week:● 6 days of international events: typical meals and activities● 8 associations representing their own countryInternational Fórum:Offered the oportunity for CentraleSupélec's students to better choose their exchange or double degree. Helped them to understand the personal and university life aspects in other countries by putting them in contact with international students.

● Project: Self-Organized Criticality in Neural ModelsStudied control theoretic tools to describe the self-organized criticality phenomenom. In this project the focus was on neural models inspired by the Critical Brain Hypothesis. Analysis and simulations were made based on 1D and 2D (Wilson-Cowan) models. The work was based mainly on the paper "Feedback tuning of bifurcations".

● Project: Chaos Cryptography using Chua's CircuitsStudied safe information transmission through chaotic signals. The synchronisation of two chaotic circuits (Chua's Circuit) allowed them to present the same trajectories when tuned to have the same parameters. A change in the first circuit's parameter would break the synchronization that would be noticed in the second circuit. For an external observer the signal would always look like nonsense chaos, but for the holder of the second circuit the signal would always present 2 states: synchronised and chaotic thus a digital message could be transmitted. Simulations were made in Matlab and later a physical circuit was connected to a virtual model through a digital signal acquisition board.

Developed a 3D robotics simulator and worked with a supervisory control technique for multi-robot construction studied by a Phd student. Developed the simulator in C# and Unity while working with the Extended Automata framework and Supervisory Control Theory. Also developed a simple integration between Python and Supremica, the software used to do the synthesis of the controllers.

Studied several topics of interest for robotics. In a first moment studied Machine Learning techniques from the book Introduction to Machine Learning with Python (O'Reilly), in parallel also studied some simple coordination algorithms to be implemented in Kilobots produced at the university itself.In a second step, studied ROS (Robot Operating System) using a Pioneer 3-AT robot. These studies culminated in a final project where the color segmentation technique was implemented with the computer vision library OpenCV in order to make the Pioneer robot able to detect oranges and decide its movement based on this.

Hosted office hours to assist high school students with exam preparation and homework assignments.
