The project consists of the development of photocatalysts as semiconductors with high absorption of visible light and conductor entirely in solid state as a mediator for use in photocatalysis and photoelectrocatalysis systems for the production of hydrogen and oxygen. Hydrogen produced from solar energy is an effective way to store clean energy for later conversion to electrical energy. Thus, the development of photochemical systems with high activity, capable of absorbing sunlight and promoting the breakdown of the water molecule producing hydrogen, is necessary to boost the market in this sense, making it possible to achieve good levels of technological applicability.
