• Founder and President of Hackers' Assembly, an organization dedicated to increasing information security awareness. • Grew Hackers' Assembly from a meetup to a 900+ member community with regular sponsorship from local security vendors such as Avanan, BTB, Access IT, and Applied Trust. • Maintain a partnership with Drexel’s Isaac L. Auerbach Cyber Security Institute to host a monthly speaker series with industry professionals. • Prepare activities for local security and IT conventions such as crypto parties, key signing events, and take part in CTF practice sessions hosted by the Delaware University Cyber Wildcats. • Hosted talks on topics such as computer forensics, PowerShell for privilege escalation, and identity access management best practices.• Regularly engage with vendors and potential speakers to continue offering quality content to Shell’s members. • Coordinate with other local security groups to enhance the effectiveness and reach of community projects such as conventions and networking events.

Conduct Security Assessments

Conduct security architecture reviews of new and existing network and application environments both within company structure and business partners.Identify security weaknesses against company policy, standards, guidelines, and best practices. Seek out findings that could impact PII, PCI, CPNI, SOX, and HIPPA data.Recommend solutions to stakeholders to improve security posture while meeting project and company goals, on time and on budget.Attend inter-department forums to discuss new technologies, identify their potential risks and benefits to the company's networks.Improve company security policy and standards as new technologies emerge.Standardize team procedures in conducting security architecture reviews for consistent results.

•Facilitate the execution of the SOX program and activities supporting the quarterly and annual SOX certification for a 900+ employee company. •Collaborate with internal and external auditors to collect input from the relevant stakeholders for the testing of application, database and server configurations. •Report directly to the CIO regarding key application and database account activity collected from system logs and security application alerts. •Investigate and perform root cause analyses on incidents, unauthorized actions or false positives identified during the CIO activity review. •Tune the Imperva SecureSphere application to reduce the occurrence of false positives and increase actionable output. •Assist department managers in the creation, modification, and implementation of SOX controls.

•Work closely with IT Audit team to perform audit assignments, reporting in accordance with annual Audit Plan, JSOX, and Standard Operation Procedures. •Build, update, and streamline SQL queries and ACL scripts to increase the efficiency of the data analytics and continuous monitoring activities. •Review findings with IT Audit Management, identify and quantify exceptions. •Assist in determining the level of impact on internal controls and workflow efficiency through substantive testing. •Collaborate in producing audit reports that summarize procedures, findings and recommendations.

•Provide clerical support to the senior security analyst and aid in the creation of internal security assessments of pre-production servers and applications•Assist in the configuring, testing, and monitoring of security management tools.•Conduct scans of pre-production servers and pre-production applications to identify vulnerabilities and potential risks to Temple’s network. Used IBM Appscan, Nexpose, and Nmap •Compile and summarize the results of all scans into a preliminary security assessment to be reviewed by the senior security analyst•Search archived reports for data to populate an access data base covering all security assessments and incidents within the past 3 years.

• Quickly and accurately prepare clients to meet with tax accountant. • Ensure all relevant information has been acquired and finalize returns after • all files have been reviewed.• Interview clients to guarantee completeness information while monitoring for • changes which might affect the client’s tax return.

• Assist in the set up of several tax sites • Assist in the everyday management of a tax site for low income families. • Prepare tax returns for clients ( in English or Spanish as required) • Help to train volunteer tax preparers in the required software and relevant tax policies required of the IRS for VITA certification. • Helped to coordinate volunteer tax preparers and to assist them when they had questions • Handled client's private information and sensitive tax documents • Handled intake processing of clients( up to 30 people in 5 hours )
