Dev Mission was founded in early 2017 by a team of technologists that care about STEM opportunities for diverse young adults.Our Mission: To train untapped young adults for careers in technology. Our Vision: To build wealth and prosperity in our local diverse communities through jobs in technology.Our Goal: To connect the most overlooked population in San Francisco, Bay Area and beyond; and expose them to careers in the tech industry.

The Digital Opportunity Center purpose is to link low income Latina/o immigrants to several elements of computer training, workforce participants to jobs, assist them and employer’s to retain those jobs, and support to pursuing career advancement opportunities. This program offers Latina/o the chance to achieve self-directed work, educational, job placement and personal goals with the use of technology. Plaza Adelante Tech Center (PATC) primarily targets Spanish-speaking adults and youth ages 17-24. Responsible for the development and operation of the New Office of Economic and Workforce Development Programs (Young Adult WorkLink) sector based programs "Mission Techies", "Bilingual Bank Teller" and "Customer Service". Created, designed, developed, and implemented this exciting new technology based workforce development program serving low income youth ages 17-24 with over 150 youth enrolled, 138 graduated and 100+ placements since the summer of 2013.Day-to-day point person for the computer labs with an emphasis on advise planning programming, outreach, and outcomes reporting on both the technology training and workforce development/job placement aspects of the program. Distributed over 200 refurbish computers to low income families with a social enterprise model managed by the Mission Techies.Proctored over 400 participants on Microsoft Office Certifications.Responsible for hiring, training and supervision of computer center staff and lead in designing tools and process to integrate technology tools in the integrated service delivery models at the Digital Opportunity Center (formerly known as Plaza Adelante).Responsible for implementing BTOP/NTIA and CETF Broadband Adoption Deliverable's; trained over 500 on Basic/Intermediate Digital Literacy Training.

I have been a proctor for Certiport in San Francisco for the past few years and I have delivered exams both in Spanish and English that have positively affected over 500 students/job seekers. Students have passed at the Office Specialist level and at the Expert Level.Responsible for ensuring the credibility of Certiport’s certification exams. Adding value to the credentials of our Digital Opportunity Center’s exam candidates by making sure they adhere to test-taking policies leading to fair and secure examination.

Raised over 2.5 Million Dollars since 2003 from the Fund Circle Fund, The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, Starbuck, Comcast, Google and Symantec for 15 low income communities. Responsible for BTOP leading targeted, technology-led community development efforts in the communities served by One Economy in the Bay Area, Central Valley, Los Angeles and San Diego. These efforts included distributing free Internet connections, affordable computers, technology training and support, technology-based youth leadership programs and localized content, intended to connect community residents to information and resources that they can use to join the economic mainstream. Managed 15 College Interns, and created One Economy @ Berkeley College Chapter. Developed new Bay Area partnerships with Local CBO’s to implement technology resources and provided guidance about broadband adoption and non profits Stimulus Grant Direction.

Overseed West Coast Youth Technology Leadership Programs “Digital Connectors”, between ages of 14-21. Provided training to Digital Connectors with hardware, software and youth leadership skills. Developed Working Annual Plans with Outcomes and measures to meet funding expectations for local technology youth leadership programs. Developed asset management and computerized monthly management reports utilizing Access, Excel and PowerPoint to highlight program operations with charts and graphs. Provided technology support to Bay Area families living in low-income communities. Trained over 100 instructors at the National level in the program 12-core competencies curriculum. Mentored and trained over 1,500 youth on the West Coast to become Technology Ambassadors for their communities. Oversaw program annual budget of 500,000 and was responsible to pay program coordinators and youth through subsidized employment.

Responsible for database backups, reindexing, maintenance, and network security rights. Upgrades stand-alone and network installation plus periodic upgrades on a Novell network environment. Automated database administrative tasks. Planned, implemented, and managed Goodwill Industries Career Services Database. Coordinated appropriate Career Services staff training to insure data entry consistency at end-user level. Supported 60 concurrent users by phone support, e-mail and one-on-one contact. Produced and generated reports to support Career Services Staff and Agency Management. Designed and maintained satisfaction survey databases for Outcomes Measures utilizing MS Access. Collected and organized Quarterly/Annual Career Services Outcomes Management Information for internal/external reporting purposes. Published outcome information-based monthly, quarterly and annual reports on programmatic performance for review onto Goodwill Industries Website utilizing Dream weaver and HTML coding. Provided on-going performance feedback on all Career Services grants to funder sources and partner agencies.

Provided Computer Instruction to low income families, immigrants in the San Francisco Mission District. Created first ever Youth Technology Program in San Francisco: "YouthNet"
