Tuition Assistance Grant (TAG) Program and the Customer Services Unit of the State Education Office (SEO) of the District of Columbia.• Directly responsible for the overall execution and administration of a $17M a year Congressionally funded program that provides tuition assistance grants for citizens of the District of Columbia to attend public state institutions throughout the country. • Directly responsible for the highest increase in every reportable/tracked key program indicator. The Mayor’s Deputy Chief of Staff for Legislative Affairs and Policy (Gregory McCarthy) and the U.S. Congress have recognized this accomplishment.• Personally developed and delivered several key PowerPoint briefings, all of which required extensive data extraction, analysis and graphic formulation of various data groups in the TAG Automated Information System (AIS), to various Senate and House sub-committee members and their staffers on the status of the TAG Program.• Direct personal efforts produced a Congressional House subcommittee approval of a 50% increase in the annual grant appropriation. (Washington Post, Metro section, July 8, 2004) • Directly accountable for revising a front desk operation into a “quasi call center” to accommodate 2K calls per week activity center and 5,600 customers within 4 months. No increase in staff or budget.• Direct supervision of the Customer Service front desk operation produced the highest quarterly marks in the “Customer Service Performance Report” (FY 03) in the short history of the agency.• Acted as agency lead for all matters relating to the Office of Financial Resources and Management (OFRM) disbursement process for financial aid payments to post-secondary education institutions. This function dealt with both the TAG and the Leveraging Educational Assistance Partnership (LEAP) programs.• Led functional working groups on the re-design and update of the TA
