I increase competition in Real Estate transactions for both the private and public sectors. I have always been a numbers guy. That talent got me a full scholarship into UM, where I earned my BBA, and shortly after, PricewaterhouseCoopers recruited me. My Real Estate Development journey started when I was getting my master’s and auditing the Miami Heat Basketball Properties and the Mickey Arison Trust. I was fascinated by the industry’s financial side, and over 20 years later, I still get excited over the negotiations of a deal. Once I realized that real estate finance would be my niche, I transitioned to KPMG, whose extensive portfolio of real estate clients included the Related Group and Swerdlow Real Estate Group. Having become familiar with real estate accounting practices and networked in the industry, I started to receive job offers from developers and companies that needed that expertise. Since then, I have prepared business models for planned communities with valuations above $4 billion. I’ve performed due diligence to acquire more than $500 million in properties and collectively managed a cash flow portfolio for $10+ billion that included over 11-million square feet of commercial real estate. I have the experience to strengthen internal controls, mitigate contract risks, create comprehensive reports that lead to initiatives like the “Florida All Aboard,” and implement real estate strategies that in the past have resulted in $66 million in savings. As a CPA and passionate negotiator, I apply best practices and find common ground to make deals happen. I engage and influence high-level stakeholders to understand complex business situations, processes, and business needs. I have an entrepreneurial mindset to bring ideas that result in ROI and have a laser focus on external factors and details that prevent losses.
