As a bird trainer/keeper at Southwick's Zoo, I assist with daily cleaning, care, enrichment and training of the primarily psittacine flock.

Substitute teacher for the J. H. Gaudet Middle School and Learning Academy in Middletown, RI.

Seasonal environmental and outdoor educator at the Rock Eagle 4-H Center in Eatonton, GA. I taught three classes daily on experiential topics of ecology, canoeing, history, orienteering, and team building to groups of students in grades K-12. Additional duties included the daily care and keeping of reptiles and amphibians with some insects, arachnids, crustaceans, and fish species.

Private music lessons to individual students for half hour durations in flute, saxophone, and piano in classical and jazz concentrations at the beginner and intermediate level. Students range in age from 6 years old to 16+ years old.

I worked in the school's main office and was in charge of various operations tasks. Daily duties included parent communication, some student support such as outdoor play time and excursion chaperoning, and snack/lunch prep. I also taught music and Spanish classes twice a week, and co-taught a Maker's workshop once a week.

Served as the head receptionist for the Writing Center. Daily duties included checking students in for appointments, helping them set up profiles to make appointments, answering the phone and inputing data into a WConline.

Work with students on a one-on-one basis to help enhance their academic skills, such as time management, planning, prioritizing, study skills, note taking, effective text book reading and deep learning.

Summer 16' and '17: Collaborated with another teacher naturalist to write weekly lesson plans for a group of 12 children ages 4-6 years old. A typical day included up to two hikes through the property, two lessons throughout the day, and educational games and stories. Summer '18: Collaborated with another teacher naturalist to write weekly lesson plans for middle school students for three distinct programs. Programs include Summer Challenge, Explorers, and EcoBlitz. Responsibilities included leading weekly Night Hikes after sanctuary hours, two separate three-day-two-night sleepover camps, and two weeks dedicated to identifying as many different species as possible using both field guides and iNaturalist technology.
