About Leon Backbier

Sinds 1986 werkzaam in de ICT. Gestart als computer- operator, en vervolgens via programmering en systeemontwikkeling de weg naar ICT management gevonden. De focus lag gedurende mijn loopbaan op beheer en techniek waarbij ook functionele en projectmatige werkzaamheden de revue passeerden. Later is de focus naar management verplaatst met als doelstelling optimalisatie en verbeteringen van ICT afdelingen en infrastructuren. Met name de laatste jaren heb ik voor een aantal grote Nederlandse ondernemingen de ICT strategie vormgegeven en ingevuld middels ICT infra- en organisatiestructuren. Daarbij is de vertaling naar ICT-oplossingen en een ICT-architectuur altijd cruciaal gebleken. Mijn karakter en stijl van leidinggeven laat zich omschrijven als: visionair; gericht op de buitenwereld, communiceer bij voorkeur mondeling, praat over ideeën om ze verder uit te werken, sociaal en expressief, neem makkelijk initiatieven, toekomst- en resultaatgericht, grote verbeeldingskracht en verbaal creatief, durf conclusies te trekken op basis van een voorgevoel, wil ideeën en theorieën verduidelijken door ze toe te passen, vertrouw op inspiratie, analytisch, los problemen op met logica, redelijk maar kan onverbiddelijk zijn, spontaan, flexibel, open voor verandering, Haal energie uit tijdsdruk.
