I have been a teacher and principal in Victorian schools since 1977. Since 1988 I have been working in the Yarra Valley at Healesville and Lilydale High Schools and since 2015 as a project manager, leadership coach, PD developer and presenter. Since mid 2015 I have been working as a Regional Project Manager for the Monash Tech School partnership. The Monash Tech School is one of ten Victorian Tech Schools to be built by the Victorian government and will serve secondary students in the Monash Local Government Area. Lilydale HS is a very large state secondary college on the edge of suburban Melbourne.With a background in teaching English, Humanities, ICT and Mathematics, I have a broad understanding of issues in secondary education and have been an author and contributor to English and Mathematics text books in the past. At Lilydale High School I led efforts to integrate technology and to improve literacy and VCE scores through an intensive program of teacher professional development. Having a keen interest in the the use of ICT in education, I led and initiated the introduction of an extensive notebook computer and iPad program at Lilydale High School. Recent projects include the development of an integrated continuous online reporting system; electronic submission of work, tracking and assessment of student work; and the use of iPads in the junior middle school classroom.Specialties: Coaching, school leadership, leadership development, educational administration, ICT in education.
