Being an exceptionally analytical and logical person I was asked by my partner to take care of the Financial and Digital needs of her fledgling company. The role has required me to learn a great deal about the workings of HR and PAYE, Corporate TAX and ACCA Accounting Methods, and dealing with HMRC. Alongside the financial side of my role, using my 30 plus years of experience with computers, I have developed the internal learning platform used, the client management system, learnt how to use Windows Server 2012 (Group Policies, etc.). As a bonus to taking care of the background to the business, I have had the pleasure of teaching groups of children programming on Saturdays. In the past, we have built handheld game consols, developed numerous copies of PACMAN or PONG, and created some websites.
