About Leon Doherty
After gaining a 2:1 honours degree in Computer Studies from Southampton University in 1987, I worked as a software engineer, team leader and technical architect for 7 years at two software houses serving print media and investment banking including companies such as Goldman Sachs, Nomura, Lehman Brothers.From 1994 to 2004 I worked in London as a Software Project manager, Programme manager, and Executive Director at a number of Investment banks including Natwest markets, UBS and Barclays Capital.Between 2004 and 2009 I worked as a contract delivery manager in Manchester and Leeds for two financial services companies and successfully delivered two large fixed-price projects with NashTech/HarveyNash as the supplier with 100+ resources based in Vietnam. Between 2009 and 2012 I worked as a permanent IT Director for Hitachi Capital Consumer Finance and also group Development Manager + group Programme Manager for Hitachi Capital in Leeds. During this period I successfully oversaw significant growth of the IT team and delivery of Leeds and group programmes.Since late 2012 I have worked at NashTech part of the HarveyNash/NashSquared group in a variety of roles including Delivery manager, Senior Engagement manager and Head of client onboarding.
