I love the clinical laboratory. I have worked in this field for 10 years and I am still learning and enjoying this world of research. During all this time I have had the opportunity to develop myself in different areas such as Hematology, Serology, Chemistry and Microbiology. Although it is a science project, I have achieved great organizational capacity at an administrative level such as laboratory inventory. I definitely have an interesting job.

   Teach and conduct Quality Control program in compliance with CLIA and CAP standards. Review and ensure compliance with the QC Program. Perform duties of licensed Medical Technologist including blood gases and Phlebotomy. Assume responsibility for department/section/shift in absence of supervisor. Perform sample packages and test requisitions for accuracy and completeness. Submits requisitions afterreview. Validate lab results are properly, completely, and efficiently recorded and reported by calibrated instruments. Performs routine preventative maintenance of all equipment; troubleshoot and solves problems as necessary. Reviews records such as daily logs, quality control, and inventory. Confirm all records are kept up to date and ensures acceptable levels of analytic performance are maintained.
