In my post-MBA life, due to serendipity, I started in Commercial Real Estate Investment Acquisitions & Asset Management of our acquired assets, from UK Student Accommodation (PBSA) to Japan Senior Housing (Nursing homes).I value building long term relationships and tight teamwork, which reminds me of a class at I took at MIT back then when Prof Peter Kurzina taught on "Culture eats Strategy for Lunch", I have witnessed too many to believe otherwise. I'm passionate about Commercial Real Estate Investments, Cross Border Business Strategy and the dynamism of Japan and China market always intrigues me. Asset Management - Student Housing
Mapletree acquired 8,192 student housing beds across 19 cities in the UK and Germany from my previous company, Cuscaden Peak Investments, for £1 billion (approximately S$1.7 billion). This strategic acquisition, completed on April 12, 2024, expands Mapletree’s student housing portfolio to over 17,000 beds in the United Kingdom. I moved over and joined Mapletree as part of the Asset Management team to continue to manage the portfolio and deliver performance. This marks my 7th year in UK PBSA.
