Senior Library Assistant
CurrentSenior Library Assistant serving Falmouth University and the University of Exeter through Falmouth Exeter Plus in Penryn, Cornwall. Performing Library administration duties such as cataloguing, fulfillment, collection management and customer service with Ex Libris Alma. As well as working as part of the Library Comms team, working on graphic design, social media marketing and creative content creation using Canva, Photoshop and Illustrator. Also a member of the FXPlus Digital Champions team, a group of staff across different teams proficient in digital literacy, Microsoft Office and technical support set up to help and advise colleagues on technical and digital issues. Frequently the team has meetings to discuss new issues and updates as well as having short seminars educating us on new releases and potential problems. I recently was involved in a project designing a new system to automate the flow of feedback to the library and automatically delegate cases that need acting upon by different teams. I have also been involved with Front-End testing for the organisation's website, making sure the website's new features run smoothly and liaising with the Learning Technologist.
