At Williamsburg Pediatrics, I work as either a receptionist or an assistant. As a receptionist: I answer phone calls, create appointments for the patients, give results for certain tests that were done, create letters that the patient needs and call in prescriptions. As an assistant: I clean the rooms, put patients in the rooms, check patients vitals such as blood pressure, temperature, height and weight. Also I complete CBC's whether needed for WIC or fever purposes. On the days as an assistant that I am in the Lab, I send out urine, stool, blood and other specimens based on what is being tested. I complete rapid, as well as overnight throat cultures. I complete all these tasks while using a database that has all of the Doctor's patients listed by name, telephone number and date of birth. The database is called Office praticum.

As a stock associate you had to ensure that the store was presentable, well stocked and done in a timely fashion. During deliveries, I tagged specific brands, places special sized stickers based on the company's regulations; after that was completed we had to separate the shoes by category and if they were already on the floor we tried to put out as much as possible, and if they weren't out we would find a place among likes (which are the same shoes but different colors), and other shoes of the same category. Also, during business ours I had helped customers find shoes of their liking, sizes they neither (whether back stock or on the floor), and complete purchases. I suggested buying online through our store if they couldn't find their size in our location as well as becoming a member. I would scan the shoe box using the scanning gun to find all the information needed. I also learned to complete NAS, which is DSW's way of filling up our shoes during business hours.All of these tasks were completed while demonstrating DSW's characteristics.

I lead as a role model for my crew in handling customers and their experiences in my store. I make daily deposits, and I make cross sales with every transaction. I work with databases when entering inventory, completing the delivery, payroll and completing deposits. Running the floor, which means I am held responsible for everything during my shift which means ensuring that my crew are following procedures, food safety wise, and satisfying my customers during every visit.

My responsibilities included entering new donors into databases to ensure they received thank-you notes and invitations to any upcoming events; filing letters, shredding paper, organizing files and some individual projects.
