The center aims to inform and helps its residents on migration procedures and housing, and any other task related to a successful integration in Canada.- Informed and referred residents regarding migration procedures according to their specific situation (e.g.: work permit, SIN number, local center for employment, housing, youth centres, registration of children to school, social and health services and any other services families would need). - In charge of administrative procedures.- Desk research and interviews with vulnerable population to write a statement to the Family Ministry of Québec, to support affordable daycare for all. Kenya, Uganda And Tanzania

McGill's African Field Study Semester (AFSS) intends to introduce students to East Africa, with a view to increasing their understanding of the goals, challenges and opportunities of people living in the visited areas. AFSS is a field study over three months in East Africa, in rural and urban places, where students change location every 4 to 5 days in average. Group of 30 students. - Coordinated on a day-to-day the field study: meeting daily with the director and other key coordinators to determine the plan of the next day (i.e.: schedule, classes, locations, activities, concerns of students, security, presentations from key local people).- Acted as a liaison between the students and faculty members in Canada. - Responsible of student affairs (in charge of grade submission, registration and program evaluation). Acted as a teacher assistant for three different classes. Responsible of communication (creating website and blogpost for the 2019 AFSS). - Consulted the program’s physician to ensure nutritional needs are met and advise students on safe practices and expectations.Ensure the general well-being of students, as the program is intense.

SORALO is a community-based initiative whose primary role is to bring landowners together for effective and sustainable management of natural resources over an area of approximately 1.3 million hectares. SORALO is a land trust that represents landowners and advocates for joint management of 16 Maasai group ranches that form the bridge between the famous Maasai Mara National Reserve and Amboseli National Park in Kenya’s South Rift. The programs are related to research, education, cultural heritage, women’s enterprise, and conservation. - Worked with the cultural leadership/heritage program of SORALO towards and healthy and intact landscape that sustain pastoralist communities and wildlife. - Worked on an Herbarium (classification, translation) as well as a Maasai Clan Book, that will be available for the different schools of the area. - SORALO's website and communication: wrote several blogposts, and organized data for SORALO's research. - Data collection and analysis (qualitative, quantitative) to study the sustainability of human-wildlife cohabitation in an healthy landscape.- Field work with the Ecology Team in Olkiramatian and Shompole (data collection). - Field work the Loita Mountains (Narok country), conducting interview with a research associate of I-CAN.
