The SCHIPmethod (SCHIPaanpak) is based on the understanding that conflict also brings loss and that loss often leads to conflict. Loss of trust, security, or love. In a divorce, this loss extends further when people lose their home or partially lose their children. In cases of relationship problems or divorce, it is therefore not enough to just manage a conflict; the various ways of processing loss must also be addressed. Only then can reconnection occur, agreements about the future be made, and only then can (ex-)partners also co-parent effectively. The SCHIPmethod is based on the book "Fighting for Your Divorce" (Vechten voor je scheiding, schipbreuk geslaagd). It is a method for guiding or enduring relationships in troubled times.
