About Leon Tang
I've had an unconventional Analytics journey, after a brief stint in Customer Service, I quickly transitioned to Analytics and eventually to Corporate Strategy. During this journey, I discovered that many companies struggle with making sense of their data, often due to factors such as a lack of business understanding from their data teams, having the wrong data strategy or implementing an inadequate data stack. This realisation led me to return to Analytics with a mission to build Analytics teams that drive business success through the strategic application of data.Since then, I have successfully led and built Analytics teams globally for many prominent start-ups (3 unicorns, 1 IPO, 1 acquisition) and have worked alongside major companies such as Burger King, Wendy's and Shake Shack to drive their worldwide expansion of dark kitchens. I am also a huge advocate for ensuring Analysts are providing business value and frequently present at conferences to press the importance of transforming Analysts from dashboard creators to decision makers.
