As Chief Appraiser - I manage multiple teams of appraisers responsible for appraising all residential, multi-residential, neighborhood commercial properties in San Mateo County and the appraisal support team; represent the Assessor's Office before the Assessment Appeals Board in appeals. Subject Matter Expert for an Artificial Intelligence PIlot project for Residential Appraisal. Specified processes and procedures to implement Proposition 19 onto existing assessment software system.As a Principal Appraiser, I supervise a team of appraisers focused on high value residential neighorhoods, multiresidential (2-4 units), and represent the Assessor's office for appeals involving residential properties across all of San Mateo County.Prior to becoming a Principal Appraiser, I had responsibility for appraising residential & multi-residential properties for property tax assessment purposes according to the State of California Revenue & Taxation code. Certified as a Property Tax Appraiser by the California State Board of Equalization. Experience in residential & multi-residential property tax appraisal:* Enrolled over 9,000 assessments on residential/multi-residential properties in Atherton, Woodside, Portola Valley, Menlo Park, Redwood City, Foster City, East Palo Alto, Daly City, Half Moon Bay, Montara, Moss Beach, El Granada, Belmont, and San Carlos ranging from $300,000 to $100 million.* Represent the San Mateo County Assessor's Office before the Assessment Appeals Board on high value residential properties appeals.* Train & mentor new appraisers on residential property tax appraisal, State of California Revenue & Taxation Code, Marshall & Swift Construction Cost Estimator software, MLS professional edition website
