When I first began working here we accepted both cash and card payments, this meant I had to count out the float on a morning before opening up. It also meant I was trusted with counting out the evening float, filling in the bank book correctly, and securing sales cash in the safe.I was asked a few times by the manager to complete stock orders on her behalf when she was off. This was accomplished on the Microsoft POS system. I was trusted with accepting stock orders and filling out the “received stock” forms correctly.Upon starting here, I was a part-time employee, however, I was regularly pulling in enough sales to keep up with the full-timers. Every month we managed to achieve our bonus as a kiosk, hitting both our sales target and email sign-up target.As I joined towards the end of COVID-19, we were still very big on cleaning. We had to clean the entire kiosk every half an hour. This included dusting all shelves, wiping down the sideboards, and sanitising everything.

I did some temporary Christmas work here whilst on break from college. At this place of work, I was left alone in a shop for multiple hours most days which means I would have to work off my own initiative.I was tasked with cleaning all the shelving units down daily and restocking any sold products.I had to close up a lot of nights and open up on some days.I was very independent while working here as we were short-staffed.

This was my first work placement and was only scheduled for a couple of weeks.I arrived on time every day and always made sure I was ready to start the day.I was made to work with different staff from the shop which taught me a lot about teamwork.I was assigned to do general stuff such as restocking shelves and cleaning floors/shelves regularly.
