Developed simulation of vehicle flight dynamics using MATLAB/Simulink. Developed software interface for vehicle actuators in C.Designed and fabricated parts for assembly of vehicle via 3D printing.

Oversee club of 70+ active members to ensure success of technical achievement, community outreach, and the promotion of interest in space exploration:Headed a student effort to create an aerospace minor and organized in collaboration with the Engineering Student Council, a school wide survey gauging interest in aerospace which influenced the mechanical engineering department to hire adjunct professors specializing in aerospace topics. I also am working with the housing board to obtain dedicated club space and create a house for space passionate students.

Lead team of 6 engineers to design, manufacture, and test team's first aero kit to be successfully implemented. Currently finished designing rear wing along with its mounting system using CAD skills and FEA analysis in Solidworks. Now working on optimizing front wing airfoil positioning through multiple CFD studies (also in Solidworks).

During my summer at JPL, I was a researcher in the Innovations 2 Flight program, a group dedicated to the rapid development of novel flight projects. I served as the mechanical systems lead for a high altitude balloon project serving as a proof of concept for a cost efficient, rapidly reusable, and highly accessible high altitude testing platform. It was my responsibility within the team to ensure the physical integrity and successful deployment of the balloon’s payloads. By the third and last launch I was able to reduce the weight from our first flight by 3lbs, drastically reduce the size of our flight computer payload box, as well as increase the modularity of our system, making our testbed more accessible and easy to use. My ability as an engineer was tested and cultivated after designing, fabricating, and testing, parts to be flight ready in a near space environment. Teamwork was also absolutely essential as launching a balloon required an immense amount of coordination and cooperation. Some of the skills I used were CADing, 3D printing, designing and wiring electric circuits, and general planning of flight procedures.

Modeled novel die casting process using specialized simulation software, ADSTEFAN. I developed simulation procedure for accurately predicting die cast results through the investigation of different mathematical parameters.

Collaborated with partner to design mechanical cube capable of contraction and expansion with a single servo. Created detailed model using Solidworks and Creo.
