Equipa de Autonomia Supervisionada (SupervisedAutonomyTeam)Supporting Children and Young People who are refugees and/or asylum seekers, who have a Welfare and Protection Measure and are living in Specialized Placements. The role of my team is to provide support throughout their transition to a Welfare and Protection Measure of Individual Autonomy where they would live in the community without adult supervision. It is my role to manage a caseload of 10 young people and empower them with the skills and knowledge needed to be fully integrated and thrive in the Portuguese community and society. This support will entail liaising with Governmental and Non-Governmental Institutions, including the Court who is enforcing the Protection measure, the court-support team who is accompanying and supervising the measure and the Border Policing Services (SEF) as the youth navigates their request forinternational protection and asylum; Offering and providing emotional support;Aiding in the search for appropriate accommodation, leisure and cultural activities as well as offering support for the Young person´s own educational and professional path. The above and any other needed intervention is done with a trauma-informed lenses, whilst I'm integrated in a multidisciplinar team.
