Once a week, I volunteer with teenager asylum-seekers, as part of TeamUp, a cooperation between Save the Children, War Child and UNICEF. TeamUp is a psychosocial program for refugee children that provides a safe space for dealing with different emotions and challenges through movement and sport.

Oralist for the Leiden University Team in both the Jessup International Law Moot Court National and International Rounds. This experience increased my legal research and drafting skills, as well as my pleading and problem solving capacities.

Samos, Northern Aegean, Greece

Spent a few months in Greece teaching English to the asylum-seekers that reside in the Samos Refugee Camp. Samos Volunteers provides psycho-social support, informal education and clothes to the inhabitants of the camp since 2016. This experience further developed my teamwork skills, as long as my flexibility and adaptability to difficult work conditions, as the circumstances of the camp are constantly changing and challenging.

In May 2022, I began to translate fictional books to English for a Portuguese author, with the goal of international publishing. This job improved my English and written communication skills.
