Paola is passionate about fueling positive social impact that will uplift youth and families, creating lasting generational change. With over 10 years of experience in higher education, nonprofit and corporate, she is an energetic connector with creative strategies that drive strong partnerships, inspiring individuals to get involved in their communities and transform the world. Paola was recently the Assistant Director of Development for Chancellor's Associates Scholarships at UC San Diego. Prior to higher education, she ran volunteer management, digital engagement campaigns and fundraising strategies for socially responsible corporate partners, committed to creating equitable communities through United Ways in San Diego and Miami. She built her career generating integrated marketing solutions for national advertisers with Telemundo Network in Miami and NBCUniversal in New York City headquarters.As a first-generation immigrant from Peru and a first-generation college graduate, Paola understands the importance of education for social mobility. This is why she is forever enthusiastic about serving her community. She was named “Volunteer Florida’s 30 Volunteers under 30” for her dedication as a ReadingPals literacy volunteer. She was an active volunteer with MANA de San Diego's Scholarship Committee and Hermanitas (Little Sisters) mentorship program. Paola graduated from leadership programs like San Diego Regional Chamber’s LEAD San Diego and Center for Creative Leadership's Latina Success Leadership Program. Through her strategic engagement practices, leadership development, and countless volunteer hours, Paola’s commitment to uplifting communities is unwavering.
