Negotiated, designed, planned and directly implemented company's private cloud presence, and led efforts to migrate key on-premise Windows infrastructure and CRM application servers at the directive of executive leadership to reduce annual hardware infrastructure and maintenance costs. Designed and implemented firm's multi-site VMWare vCenter/ESXi infrastructure for virtualization of remaining on-premise servers and implementation of additional necessary server infrastructure as needed. Overhauled company's existing Windows Terminal server from a single, aging Windows 2008 Terminal Server to a hybrid cloud-hosted multi-server 2019 Remote Desktop Services platform utilizing RDS Gateway Services and Remote App for secure on and off-site access of CRM as well as other essential applications by over 500 employees. Implemented remote access via phones & tablets to essential applications and intranet-hosted forms by sales staff and technicians in the field while at customer sites.

Supervised 5 systems engineers & 3 help desk personnel supporting 150 on-site users & more than 1,000 users across more than 30 remote locations. Responsible for purchasing of all infrastructure hardware and software. Trained technical support staff while serving as escalation point for technical issues. Led a team to deploy more than 125 enterprise servers at NOC & 33 remote offices & managed inventory, upgrades, & replacements. Designed and implemented company-wide data retention policies.Served as a primary liaison for e-discovery matters between Massey Energy and federal investigators (FBI and U.S. Justice Department), as well as outside legal counsel representing Massey and plaintiffs. Solely responsible for the production of all electronic data pertinent to major litigation brought against Massey Energy, including matters related to the April 2010 West Virginia explosion at the “Upper Big Branch” coal mine, and the proceeding U.S. Justice Department investigation.
