LIV (Lungisia Indlela Village) is a non-profit orginisation that focuses on orphaned and vulnerable children in South Africa, mostly due to HIV/AIDS. LIV focuses on a solution to aid this crisis. We place these children into a family environment with a trained foster mother to love them, a school to educate them, and where all their needs are met.My Job as a volunteer at LIV-Village was primarily to help pioneer and facilitate a gap year programme on the village for students aged 18 - 25 years.In addition to the above I also assisted with various other parts of the village, including but not limited to helping set up and run both a donations (receiving and distribution) shed as well as a tools shed for the maintenance department.
