The Sydney 2000 Olympic Games (Ticketing Program) role involved the creation and management of the complete IT infrastructure with extremely tight timelines within a multi-phased project. With no room for error, this mission critical and high profile ticketing operation was supported with a network of 60 on-line ticket offices at every Olympic venue together with various inter-state tickets outlets, a multiple connection to external call centres, Internet links (web sales) and back-office operations. For the first time in the history of the Olympic Games, the infrastructure provided live (on-line) sales for over 750,000 tickets exceeding $47 million in revenue.
