As Loughborough Student's Union's (LSU) Enterprise and Employability Officer, I am required to organise and run all events within the University in relation to my area. My main responsibility is working with the LSU Executive in bringing new ideas and events to the students, whilst also providing coverage and bringing Enterprise and Employability to the students of Loughborough.The Enterprise side of my role involves working with the Enterprise Hub within the Students' Union, comprised of a team of full-time employees, where we have regular meetings and discussions to try and improve participation within the sector. Similarly, I work with Loughborough University's Employability Centre in order to inform students of job vacancies or opportunities provided by companies around the world. I am also in charge of a Enterprise and Employability Committee, who aid me in organising and running events and competitions.

The role of Vice Chair requires me to work closely with the Hall Chairman in running the Hall and looking after a committee consisting of 18 individuals, each with varying roles within the University and Union. Primarily, it is essential to ensure that the committee is working to its optimum, whilst also supporting the Chairman with notes, minutes and suggestions, and standing it temporarily as the Hall Chairman when they are not available.The Vice Chair is required to attend weekly meetings with each section, such as Sports, FREEC, Action, RAG (Raising and Giving), Stash, Media, Social, Treasurer and Welfare and Diversity, to ensure that all sections are running smoothly and to set new targets.Alternatively, as FREEC (Food, Residential, Ethics, Environment and Campus Watch), I act as the sole source of communication between residents within Halls and the Universities Campus Living service. Thus, I am required to have regular meetings with Campus Managers in ensuring that food is to a high standard, whilst informing the maintenance team of any problems which have occurred within Halls.Furthermore, I have regular meetings with the Union and other FREEC Reps on Campus alongside the Ethical and Environmental Development Officer. This is to ensure that Halls on Campus are being as environmentally and ethically friendly as possible, whilst we also work towards making Campus a safer place to live in through Campus Watch and talking to the local authorities (police and fire department).

A Sixth Form Captain acts as the liaison between the Year Group and the Head of Sixth Form, whilst also worked as the organiser for social events for the Year Group.I worked alongside 6 other Sixth Form Captains in organising events such as the School Leavers Prom, the Christmas/Final Assembly, the Leavers Yearbook and also the Leavers Jumpers. In most tasks, prior planning with outside companies (such as coaches to and from the Prom venue) and money management skills were required.Furthermore, we would also have meetings with the Director of Sixth Form and the Head of Year 13 in order to pass on important messages to the Year Group.
