At WaFd Bank, I have been managing a team of C#/Python Developers, Mulesoft Developers, SQL Developers, and leading our DevOps group. The newest members of my team are our Operational Excellence group which utilizes low-code/no-code platforms to increase efficiencies for our business colleagues. If we are unable to utilize a low-code solution, our application developers can quickly deliver any number of applications to assist the business such as automated python applications hosted in lambda/lambda containers, web applications connected to our core via API, or a simple single-use application to quickly eliminate a manual task.The current tech stack my team delivers solutions with is .net technologies delivered with Docker containers and hosted on Amazon Elastic Container Service. The DevOps team helps empower our IT department to deliver solutions with CI/CD best practices in mind. The team works hard to be familiar with new technologies and how they can improve our existing way of thinking. We love to share our ideas with other members of IT to help move our technology forward.We have enabled third vendors to integrate with our internal banking systems whether it is providing flat files with SSIS/ETL or exposing REST API's via Mulesoft. Everything at the bank is audited and regulated, we must develop our software with that in mind. Our team is very familiar with SOX regulations and we keep our bank the most secure bank we possibly can be. We don't do the bare minimum, we move the needle forward to ensure we are as far ahead as possible when it comes to security. My job as a manager is to remove roadblocks for my team. Work with our executives on where we can best spend our resources to improve technology. Push my team to want the best for IT and be excited about how we can produce results.

Washington Federal bought First Mutual Bank, now I continue to develop the same software for Washington Federal.

Used design and development technologies to build web applications and software tools for internal and external customer use. Maintained bank’s internet and intranet web sites and other existing applications using C#, SQL, and ColdFusion.

OPIS group, developed City Champion Information websites.

Developed Desired Configuration Management (DCM) Solution for SMS and CIS Group. Environment: Visual C# .Net 1.1 and 2.0, XML, WMI. Development was for a new User Interface application

Developed accounting/back office software for convenience stores and bulk oil vendors using Visual C# .Net (GUI/user access to database), Visual Basic .Net (wireless handheld interface), Visual C++ .Net (wireless dataflow and barcode scanning), and ASP (online interface). Lead a team of 4 programmers to rewrite old accounting software to new .Net standards to support new online transactions. Converted a project from Delphi to C#.
