Enterprise risk management, compliance, governance, policy and strategic planning, applicable to: civil and emergency services; event management and security; law enforcement; local government; logistics, transportation, and road management; private and public security; not for profit and community organisations.Advisory, consultation, and execution of: education and training; investigations; mediation; risk assessment; risk mitigation strategy; statistical and financial analysis and modelling.

Council's elected members are responsible for:law-making and overseeing compliance to the relevant Acts of Parliament (eg, the local Government Act 2002);developing and approving Council policy;determining the expenditure and funding requirements of Council through the 10-Year Plan and Annual Plan processes,monitoring the performance of Council against its stated objectives and policies;representing the interests of constituents; andemploying the Chief Executive.

Responsible for the management of all traffic enforcement within the Waikato District.
