As a Librarian, I'm specializing in nothing, but my attention is focused on Literature, Arts, Music,Nature & Sports.Furthermore, I worked on a weekly basis for the local radio station AmsterdamFM, broadcasting from our Library at the Oosterdokseiland., with the so-called Boekenrubriek,(Booktalk) every Friday , 15.45-16.00. AmsterdamFM , www.amsterdamfm. Furthermore I wrote on a nearly weekly basis a Weblog about Books, on www.oba.nl(2009-2018)Plus,from 2008 to 2016 I was editor of the OBACommunicatieplein, to be held every first Monday of the Month, 10.00-12.00. Up to April 2017 I worked as a Librarian at the OBA. I worked over 40 years in the OBA Public Library, as a (senior) librarian, as a branch manager, and doing jobs you wouldn't immediately expect in a library: Between 2008-2015 I was a Radio Librarian: every week I talked about books at a local radio station-AmsterdamFM-. I wrote over 350 weblogs about books on www.oba.nl. And from 2008-2017 I was responsible for a monthly conference for OBA employees, the Communicatieplein, where we discussed major and minor topics concerning libraries and especially the OBA.In the OBA Central Library, my work consisted of giving information to everyone who asked about nearly everything concerning music and books. Library Innovation was also one of my working fields I wrote between 2009-2018, on a nearly weekly basis, a weblog about Books, OBA Boekenblog. I was nominated in 2016 as Librarian of the Year, I also had a weekly Radiotalk concerning books and music on a local Radio Broadcast. I love to think and talk about libraries, books and music, and I also love to write about it, for instance for BibliotheekBlad,the only Dutch Library Magazine, or on social media like Facebook,LibraryThing and Twitter. In 2017 I developed 3 so-called Avond van de Bibliothecaris, (Evening of the Librarian, in the Torpedo Theatre, Amsterdam. After my retirement, April 2017, I'm still available as a weblogger and freelance journalist. March 2018 I started again a radio programme on AmsterdamFM, called Paperback Radio, You can talk to me about books in general!,, every two weeks on Tuesday between 14-15 am. I also have experience in interviewing writers and musicians about their books and music. I spoke, in front of an audience with Dutch writers as Bernlef,K.Michel, Philip Snyder,Stine Jensen,Tom Lanoye, Yolanda Entius,Nicolette Smabers, Niko Keuning, Astrid Roemer and Philibert Schogt.

Up to summer 2014 I did ten minute Bookprogramme on AmsterdamFM, which corresponded with my Boekenblog (bookweblog) on www.oba.nl. Name of the programme: AmsterdamFM Kunst & Cultuur op Vrijdag, 15.00-17.00 The Bookprogramme started at 15.45.I edited a webradioprogramme called De Boekenman van A tot Z". In a series of 20 programmes we discussed one particular, mostly Dutch, writer. www.amsterdamfm/boekenman Between 2008-2013 I also made a weekly radio broadcasting programme for AmsterdamFM, called Het Ochtendhumeur: music,books,poetry, interviews and lots of guests ! I really loved to do that!

My First Job! Every Saturday, every ThursdayEvening, and Holidays.Selling Men's Clothes. Great to learn to deal with people, to see them in all their colours, variations,humours. Very important time for me, and there is hardly a day that I don't think about it, also in relation to my current job.
