Imagine yourself charging your (future?) electric car at the corner of the street. With just a simple QR code, you’ll be fully charged in half an hour. Incredible, isn’t it? In reality, behind every charging station in France and around the world, dedicated teams work tirelessly to ensure your experience is always smooth and secure. At Citeos Digital Solutions, a brand of VINCI Energies, I had the chance to contribute to this transformation as a Software Engineer.During this internship, I developed new features and took the initiative to set up integration tests for our services. This implementation allowed us to fix bugs and increase code coverage by 10% to 15% on average, while ensuring the non-regression of particularly critical transaction scenarios.I was also involved in a project aimed at intelligently managing the power delivered to charging stations without laying new cables. This innovative project, avoiding extra ecological, financial, and logistical costs, allowed me to actively participate in all phases, from design to development, and through to the first functional tests on a physical terminal.This professional experience gave me a deeper understanding of what it means to be an engineer. It motivated me to keep on this path and to perfect my skills, so I can tackle ever more complex and varied problems. It taught me that having a broad expertise is more valuable than being too narrowly specialized.

Working in the Operations Management Laboratory, my role was to design and implement a data pipeline to optimize the flow of information within the state-of-the-art military scientific installation, the LMJ.My main responsibilities included evaluating user needs, extracting and structuring data, and creating a simple yet effective method for exporting this information.During this internship, I had the opportunity to acquire and strengthen key skills such as ergonomics, functional analysis, and software development. I also explored alternative approaches based on the project’s requirements.This experience allowed me to appreciate the opportunities in the data management sector within a unique setting, contributing to the development and sustainability of nuclear deterrence weapons.
