Hello! I'm Leqi Chen, currently pursuing a Master’s in Computer Science at the University of Florida, where I’m deeply engaged in advancing my knowledge of distributed systems, data structures, and software engineering. My foundation in core programming and mathematical modeling has set me up for success in both academic and practical applications.Research and Publication: As a Research Assistant, I contributed to high-dimensional data feature selection research, where I co-authored and published an article in the International Journal of Machine Learning and Cybernetics. This experience sharpened my ability to conduct literature reviews, develop Python-based experiments, and communicate findings in seminars and conferences.Technical Projects: My recent projects include developing a distributed peer-to-peer system using the Chord protocol and optimizing asynchronous Gossip and Push-Sum algorithms. Through these, I gained expertise in Pony and Actor Model implementation, enabling me to build robust, scalable systems and optimize message-passing for various network topologies.
