Accountable for creating the risk department in Brazil, my main goals were tracking the market exposures, evaluate what were the risks the company was taking (based on VAR and Stress Tests), develop a FX exposure map and all local hedging process; Close relationship with trading desks, finance, legal and operation’s department;

Leading a team of 5 people, I was responsible for controlling Latin America agricultural business, ensure that the P&L of each desk was correct and all risks were mapped. I was also accountable for evaluate each physical market price and calculate the MTM for the global business in a daily basis. High engagement with new projects team, I became the finance leader for the implementation of the new ERP system.

Responsible for controlling risks for some Brazilian desks which trade commodities, I provided daily publications which report the P&L, VAR and drawdown for each desk (Oilseeds, Grains, Sugar and Fertilizers). Close relationship with risk, trading desks, accounting and operational areas.

Accountable for phosphate risk position in Brazil, I leaded the origination, risk management, supply and pricing strategies. Responsible to develop commercial contacts, manage contracts and make market analysis. Deep engagement with accounting, quality, industrial, logistic and commercial/sales team.
