Retired in 2020. Previously a Fleet Program Manager with Southern Nuclear Operating Company in Birmingham, Alabama in the Fleet Projects department. In this position, I managed large complex, and costly capital improvement projects across our fleet of nuclear power electric generating plants. This includes developing effective client partnerships, directing activities of inside and outside design organizations, vendor selection, oversight and surveillance, providing work direction and effective performance management with implementation groups and other groups to ensure successful implementation of projects. Additionally, I developed Business Case documents and presentations that provide information, innovation, and insight through efficient problem resolution and sound economic analyses that inform executive decisions regarding selection and implementation of capital improvement projects. I was also responsible for leading special activities and resolution of plant engineering issues, as well as budget and expenditure projection and control.
