Led the PSM program and served as the Global Safety and Environmental (GSE) department interface to all things with an engineering resolution.• Conducted a safety instrumentation and pressure relief gap analysis of the worldwide Schering-Plough sites following the merger. Led the six-sigma team (Green Belt project) to develop the recommendations to management for resolving the gaps and prepared the multi-year implementation plan including the required capital and expense funding (ca. $70MM). • Led the Animal Allergen Engineering Control Task Force to recommend engineering solutions to reduce the employee exposure to rodent allergens.• Authored and gained approval of the EHS Risk Management Procedure, enabling the worldwide comparison of EHS risks between sites and prioritization of risk reduction efforts.

Led the PSM program with between one and seven professional direct reports, ergonomics program and chairing the Central Feasibility Analysis Committee for the retrospective upgrade of containment controls.• Led the Facility Safety Assessment task force, a loss prevention and emergency response review of the chemical and strategic pharmaceutical sites. • Led the Process Safety Lab; the thermal hazard and combustible dust testing lab.• Chaired the Central Feasibility Assessment Committee; facilitating low-capital resolution to worldwide industrial hygiene issues.

Led the PSM and Safety Engineering program with seven professional direct reports. Team supported major capital expansions and green field projects. • Led the technical transfer and startup team to enable the contract manufacturer to design and commission a 10 step organic synthesis facility in India. • Led the HTHM (Highly Toxic and Hazardous Material) task force. This involved: identifying the materials of interest, compiling best industry practice for handling each material, and auditing the facilities to direct capital or procedural improvements.• Led a Thermal Control Device (process waste fume incinerators) initiative to identify the minimum safety features for the incinerators and fume headers, wrote the engineering standard to document those minimum features, and performed site audits of the 10 relevant facilities.
