Les J. Goodwin was Managing Director and Head of the Commercial Treasury Services Division within Transaction Banking Americas at MUFG Union Bank N.A.. As Division Head, Mr. Goodwin is responsible for managing the deposit and treasury services strategy to corporate, middle market, business banking, not-for profit, real estate developers/investors, REIT management companies, commercial/residential property management companies, and homeowners’ association management companies. Past management market segment responsibilities include Financial Institutions and Title and Escrow industries.Other responsibilities within Union Bank include: Bank-wide treasury product strategy, funds transfer pricing, BSA/ALM Risk Management for commercial customers, bank and non-bank acquisitions, OCC stress test exercises, Basel III requirements and customer service experience council. Prior to Mr. Goodwin’s current position, he served for fifteen years as Vice President and Relationship Manager for the Financial Institutions Department at Union Bank, which included commercial banks, savings banks and credit unions. His role was to provide consultative financial and transactional solutions specifically for financial institutions.

Shearson Lehman Hutton employed Mr. Goodwin as Financial Consultant and Regional Institutional Sales to develop and structure securitization transactions for financial institutions in the Western region.

In 1987, Mr. Goodwin was appointed Acting President and Chief Executive Officer by the FDIC to manage a troubled financial institution. His primary role was to manage daily operations and minimize loss exposure to the FDIC and Board of Directors.
