Current• Promote EHS Policies & Standards through advice, guidance & training by displaying leadership in all aspects of EHS performance and coaching the field team in EHS standards and behaviour;• Provide practical guidance and support to help the operation meet client EHS expectations, statutory requirements, relevant standards, and Industry best practice;• Support field operation teams to reach defined EHS objectives &targets;• Effective application of site specific EHS management plans & standards into all activities undertaken or proposed by the business;• Embed risk management processes into operations;• Analyse EHS data and provide performance feedback to field crews and supervisors;• Responsible for all health, safety, and environment (HSE) duties and reports involving the drill rigs. (surface and underground);• Witness and monitor all critical operations around and on the drill rigs;• Ensure compliance with and implementation of HSE policies and procedures;• Compile and correlate all HSE reports and files them with the appropriate authorities, including the weekly HSE report on the Drill rigs, monthly reports, • Promote safety consciousness on the part of all workers, both employees and contracted workers;• Coordinate safety courses for workers, as well as organising campaigns to motivate workers to use safe behavior on the drill rigs;• Responsible for safety inspections of drill rigs, looking for any deficiencies in documentation, equipment or facilities;• Conduct safety audits and oversees correction of safety-related problems;• Interface with clients / customers to make sure DDH1 drilling meet all safety requirements;• Correcting any and unsafe practices;• Responsible for emergency planning and implementation;• Develop programs to minimise any losses on the job;• Responsible for writing reports on any accidents or safety / environmental related incidents and recommendations on how to prevent such accidents from occurring again.
