Business Office Director
Current•Direct the daily business operations for a long-term care facility comprised of 169 residents and 200 non-unionized employees (i.e., senior leadership, administrative staff, nursing staff, and environmental services staff); core duties include but are not limited to: budget/fiscal management, managing accounts receivables/accounts payable, team leadership, performance management, candidate selection, and maintaining compliance with HIPAA and State of Michigan regulations. •Lead a team comprised of an office assistant and receptionist to execute daily administrative duties.•Manage an annual administrative budget of +/- $12MM to procure clinical and administrative supplies, cover employee salaries, provide transportation, etc. •Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) including but not limited to: revenue growth, expense growth, And resident/admission growth.; also analyze financial statements such as profit and loss (P&L) to assess the financial viability of the organization and develop strategic countermeasures to drive revenue. •Serve as a key component in the candidate selection process to screen and interview prospective employees in collaboration with Human Resources. •Acquired extensive experience working with notable health insurance companies such as Health Alliance Plan and Blue Cross Blue Shield to prequalify prospective residents for acceptance into the facility. •Manage approximately $500,000-$600,000 in accounts payable on a monthly basis as well as +/- $1MM in monthly accounts receivables. •Lead and develop weekly report outs to senior leadership regarding outstanding accounts receivables and next course of action.Increased revenue by approximately 10-15% by increasing communication and developing relationships with families and legal guardians. •Developed and implemented a three-step past due payment policy which resulted in 90% on-time payment compliance. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
