Leslie Tsai leads the Chandler Foundation’s international efforts to support good governance, increased transparency and accountability, and robust international and national anti-corruption ecosystems. In that role, she serves as an advocate and advisor to anti-corruption efforts and champions around the world. With nearly two decades in the field of philanthropy, global health and development, Leslie has become a recognized voice and thought leader. She has presented at TEDx Berkeley, and her articles on transparency and accountability have appeared in the Financial Times, Chronicle of Philanthropy, World Bank blogs, and beyond. Leslie has been honored as a John Gardner Fellow at the World Bank, a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a World Economic Forum Global Shaper, and a Shafik Gabr U.S.-Egypt Exchange Fellow.She has worked at the African Development Bank, the Supreme Court of Rwanda, the Special Court for Sierra Leone, and started her legal career at the law firm Sullivan & Cromwell.Leslie received her J.D. from Harvard Law School and her B.S. in Business Administration and B.A. in Rhetoric from the University of California, Berkeley with Highest Honors (summa cum laude).
