From March 1994 to March 2006, I was employed by Meijer Inc in Michigan. In my 12 years at Meijer, I held various Management positions including; Recruiting Training Team Leader, Systems Team Leader, Service Area Team Leader, and Layout/Planogram/Replenishment Team Leader. While in these roles I worked on implementing various programs to increase productivity at the registers. As a team leader, I was responsible for writing employee schedules, ensuring payroll for the department was correct and conducting employee reviews. In March of 2006, I left Meijer due to my husband's military career. In 2009 I completed my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration - Human Resource Management from Baker College. From 2007 to 2010 I served as a Family Readiness Assistant and Family Readiness Advisor for my husband's USMC units at Camp Lejeune, NC, and MCRD Parris Island, SC. These roles allowed me to build relationships with the spouses in his units and give them support during deployments. In 2018 I started working as a teacher's assistant in a kindergarten classroom and have since served as a substitute teacher (PK-5th grade) and a teacher's Assistant for 2nd grade. In these roles, I assist the teachers with day-to-day functions in their classrooms and lead small groups for reading and spelling. I also cover the front office, facilitate lunch, and dismissal procedures. In December 2021 I graduated from Liberty University with a Masters in Education - Administration/Supervision.
