I headed up the small and talented Interpretation Team running temporary exhibition programmes across OnFife Museums including Kirkcaldy Museum, St Andrews Museum and Dunfermline Carnegie Library & Galleries. Also Fife's travelling museum known as MAC plus museum loan boxes and other outreach services.

What a fabulous job! With a small team I developed the content of Dunfermline's new museum from concept to realisation. And recruited and worked with over 400 local people of all ages to bring to one of Scotland's ancient capitals a museum that connects with communities through the telling of human stories.

I ran the small team of curators who provided exhibitions, learning and outreach for Fife Council's museums including St Andrews Museum, Kirkcaldy Museum & Art Gallery, and the travelling museum known as "MAC".

In this role I was running the museum service in West Fife and also had a Fife-wide responsibility for museum collections management issued. I managed the buildings and sataff at 3 museums and a heritage attraction (St Margaret's Cave) including recruitment, staff rotas, training needs and performance. I also ran an exhibition and activities programme, customer service, marketing and pr for the service. I opened a new museum in a recently converted historic Carnegie Library in the small town of Annan. I worked closely with the Friends of Annandale & Eskdale to recruit around 100 volunteers to welome visitors and run the shop. I researched and developed a series of exhibitions covering wide ranging subjects including a Roman fort, Victorian artist W E Lockhart, 100 years of ships' boiler making, and a touring show of photographs of the region's 6 main towns.

My first curatorial job, I worked for the Slough Museum Trust alongside a dedicated bunch of volunteers, covering all aspects of museum work.
